DNA has designed a number of community and school libraries including the Thompson Rivers University House of Learning (with DSAI), Whitehorse Public Library and Cranbrook Public Library. DNA is also currently working with the City of Coquitlam to design their new 33,000sf City Centre Branch.
TRU’s House of Learning is a 72,000sf facility incorporating a 4 story Atrium with Living Wall, a Learning Commons, Reading and Study Rooms and Galleries, Library Administration Offices, and a dramatic Assembly Hall modelled on the tradtional pit houses of the regions First Nation Communities. The new HOL features a curved glazed curtain wall that defines one side of the Circular Campus Common located at the centre of the university. The HOL is designed to LEED Gold standard.
