Ty-Histanis Community

Tla-0-qui-aht First Nations selected our firm to complete the design and construction administration of this important project.  The Ty-Histanis Community includes 162 residential lots and a village centre area for future community facilities. This subdivision is built on a parcel of land that was formerly part of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and added the Esowista Reserve in 2007. The subdivision includes paved roads, water, sanitary and storm sewers, a water pump station and reservoir and two sewage lift stations. It also includes a district heating system with a community geothermal field and district energy plant as well as a heated water distribution system providing heat to all the housing lots.

DNA achieved the 2013 PIBC Award of Excellence for the Ty-Histanis Sustainable Community.
