Ross River School Permafrost Structural Monitoring

Ross River School has experienced significant differential foundation movements due to the seasonal degradation of the underlying permafrost. DNA carried developed and implemented a 3-year structural monitoring program of Ross River School to assessing the structural safety of the school until mitigation measures are developed and implemented to mitigate the degradation of the permafrost.  We were actively engaged in communicating findings with the Client, school staff, building maintenance staff, and the Minister of Highways and Public Works.

As the prime consultant, we assessed building damage on site and produced comprehensive reports documenting structural and non-structural damage as a result of the school foundation movements. DNA provided recommendations for remedial work, and long-term strategic planning to mitigate cold weather challenges experienced by the building.

It’s in our DNA… Engagement. Respect. Expertise.
