Daylu Dena Supportive Housing
DNA is providing Development Consulting as well as design services (architectural, structural, and civil) to the Lower Post Housing Society for a supportive housing project. The housing will host a unique mix of residents and is funded though BC Housing’s Supportive Housing Fund and the Women in Transition Fund. The Lower Post Housing Society provides a range of safe, affordable, quality and culturally appropriate housing options to the members of the Daylu Dena First Nation and other Indigenous people and their family members. The project includes safe home units, second stage housing unit and supportive housing units.
Each side of the facility will include common spaces with a kitchen and lounge space. The safe home and second stage housing side will include a play area. Staff offices and counselling space will be in the centre of the facility. To accommodate staff and related services, the facility features three offices, a counselling room and staff sleeping quarters.
DNA has worked with the Lower Post Housing Society to provide the full suite of Development Consultant services and help make their vision become a reality.
