Firehall #13

David Nairne + Associates with RH+PA were awarded the commission for City of Vancouver Firehall No.13. The building is sited on a tight 50 foot lot in a residential neighborhood in Vancouver. After a careful consultation process, including successful dialogue with area residents, city planners and representatives of the fire department, the building was designed to be simultaneously respectful of the scale of the surrounding houses and the need for future expansion. The building features masonry brick veneer, curtain wall glazing and dramatic folding zinc standing seam roof.
