Gramma's House Society Governance + Operations Manuals

Gramma’s House Society and BC Housing are currently developing two housing projects in Burns Lake for youth ageing out of care, single mothers and young parents and their children, and those that are homeless or are at risk of homelessness. As part of the BC Housing requirements, DNA is working with Gramma’s House Society to create Operations Manuals for both projects and a Governance Manual for Gramma’s House Society.

The Gramma’s House Society Governance Manual outlines the roles and responsibilities of the both Board of Directors and the Society’s Manager.

The Operations Manuals are a tool to support staff in the day to day operations of the housing, including tenant relations, move in procedures and crisis intervention. The policies are based on best practices in managing housing which Gramma’s House Society’s tenants.

When used together, the Operation and Governance Manuals will allow all the housing projects managed by Gramma’s House Society and the Board of Director to run effectively and efficiently
