Halalt Health Centre

The H’ulh-etun Health Society Health Centre locaed at in the heart of the Halalt First Nation Reserve serves the needs of several local communities.

Health and administrative offices, exam rooms and community rooms are located around the perimeter of the building with large windows, maximizing natural light and ventilation. A large community room serves cultural and community functions of the program, this space has extensive glazing on the interior and the exterior, strengthening connection to nature and the community environs.

The horizontal and vertical wood elements on the exterior are a tribute to the traditional plank house structure and provide a warm contrast to the modern cladding finish to the building.
