Northern Society for Domestic Peace
Supportive Housing
In partnership with BC Housing, Northern Society for Domestic Peace is developing a second stage and supportive housing project that provides 12 homes for young single mothers and their children, as well as second stage housing for women and children who have fled violence.
Located in Smithers, BC, the project is sharing the site with the Society’s safe home to provide a housing continuum for women and their children in the same place. The project features a common space, including a dining room, lounge, study area and children’s play area as well as spaces for support staff and visiting professionals.
“We really appreciate working with DNA; they have demonstrated such knowledge, really creative and respect our locality, culture and values. Totally collaborative and honest.”
