Chawathil Sports Field Upgrades - Baseball Diamond
Chawathil First Nation retained DNA to design and provide construction management services to rehabilitate the existing baseball diamond that had fallen into disrepair in the community. The objectives of this project were to design and construct a provide a better play surface, to introduce children and youth to sports, to reinforce the value of teamwork through sports, and to encourage community members to get more active outdoors.
The sports field upgrades included:
- installing an automated irrigation system,
- installing a new level surfacing (topsoil),
- seeding (new grass), and
- fencing improvements.
DNA is proud to have been part of working alongside Chawathil First Nation to revitalize this community recreation facility.
