Tenderfoot Hatchery Tub Design

DNA was contracted by the Department of Fisheries and Ocean Canada (DFO) to design new rearing tanks for the Tenderfoot Hatchery in Squamish, BC. The project included designing eight 20-foot diameter and four 12-foot diameter circular tubs to be used to rear juvenile salmon and handle adults. A new intake in the Aeration Tower was also designed to supply water to the tubs.  The tubs were equipped with a water meter on the tub intake and an air lift system on the side of the tub to enhance aeration.
