Yuneŝit’in Skills and Labour Assessment

The Yuneŝit’in Skills and Labour Assessment and Personal Skills Profiles were completed by members of the Yuneŝit’in Government and the Tsilhqot’in National Government and provided a foundation for the First Nation Construction Industry Education (FCNIE) program. The Assessment gathered information including career interests, current and desired education and training and availability and interest in participating in the FNCIE project.  It also allowed members to reflect on their current skills and consider how they could be used in different capacities. This information was used to connect members with training and employment opportunities related to FNCIE.  It has also been used to connect interested members with projects in the wider region.

Through the Labour and Skills assessment, members of Yuneŝit’in and the surrounding Nations were trained and helped construct the Yuneŝit’in ?Esgul (School) Gym Addition and teacherages in the community.
